The Atlanta Falcons dug into the bargain bin for their latest find.
On Friday, the Falcons signed veteran defensive back Grayland Arnold, who turns 28 on Sept. 4, following a Thursday workout, per NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.

According to Wilson, the Falcons also brought in cornerback C.J. Henderson, the No. 9 overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, for a workout before landing on Arnold, an undrafted free agent from the same draft class.
Grayland Arnold Could Be a Core Special Teamer for the Falcons
In four seasons, Arnold, who began his career with the Philadelphia Eagles before playing for the Houston Texans from 2021-23, has appeared in 20 games, primarily as a special teams contributor.
Per Pro Football Reference, 406 of his 634 career snaps (64 percent) have come on special teams.
Injuries have thwarted his career, with Arnold spending time on injured reserve each season since 2022. Last year, Arnold vied for a prominent role on the Pittsburgh Steelers defense before a training camp calf injury ended his season.
Per Pro Football Focus data, Arnold has played slot corner on 149 of his 228 career defensive snaps (65.4 percent) while also lining up at outside corner, free safety, as a box defender, and even five snaps on the defensive line.
Arnold played collegiately at Baylor, where he led the FBS in interception return yards (118) as a senior, when he also scored a punt return touchdown.
There's no guarantee he'll end up on the 53-man Week 1 roster, but his willingness and ability to play multiple positions and on special teams could give Arnold a leg up as cut day nears on Aug. 26.
