Veteran wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud had a good first season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, recording 62 receptions (87 targets) for 686 yards and a touchdown. The veteran pass catcher exceeded everyone’s expectations and will look to have a similar season in 2025.

However, before we can look ahead to this upcoming season, McCloud celebrated a huge family moment over the weekend. His younger brother, Jordan, was invited to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC-2.

Jordan McCloud went undrafted following the 2025 NFL Draft after finishing his college football career at Texas State. McCloud was at South Florida (2018-2020) before transferring to Arizona (2021-2022).

After playing 20 games at the University of South Florida, McCloud played three with the Arizona Wildcats. The dual-threat quarterback eventually took his talents to James Madison, where he made a name for himself in the college football scene.

During the 2023 season at James Madison, McCloud completed 68.2 percent of his passes for 3,657 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He also added 276 yards on the ground and eight touchdowns.

The 6-foot quarterback was rewarded for his performance on the field as he was named the Sun Belt Conference’s Player of the Year. After a great season at JMU, McCloud finished his college career at Texas State this past season

With the Bobcats, he completed 70.2 percent of his passes for 3,227 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. McCloud added 278 rushing yards and seven scores on the ground.

It will be an uphill battle for McCloud to make the 90-man roster, as the Buccaneers already have four QBs, including UDFA Connor Bazelak. However, his brother Ray-Ray would love for his younger brother to defy the odds and make the team, making Tampa Bay-Atlanta games much more special.
