The Atlanta Hawks will have a much different-looking roster once the 2025-26 campaign tips off this October than the group fans saw take the floor to start this past season.

One of the players who had been a mainstay in Atlanta entering the 2024-25 season was forced to the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury during the first half of the year. At the time, few would have guessed it, but that injury ultimately led to the end of his tenure with the franchise.

While he was ultimately shipped to the Los Angeles Clippers ahead of the league's trade deadline, former Hawks starter Bogdan Bogdanovic is giving fans in Atlanta flashbacks of what they dealt with this past year after suffering a hamstring injury against Portugal in the 2025 EuroBasket Tournament.

Ex-Hawk Bogdan Bogdanovic's Latest Injury Will Give Fans Flashbacks

Before being traded, Bogdanovic missed a month of game action after suffering a hamstring injury. Now, he is the Los Angeles Clippers' problem, but seeing him go down again at EuroBasket with a similar issue will certainly trigger some bad memories for Hawks fans.

The Serbian shooting guard is a professional scorer. His ability to put the ball in the bucket has made him a threat whenever he steps foot on the hardwood. That was plain to see for fans in Atlanta during his four and a half seasons as a member of the franchise.

As great a scorer as Bogdanovic has proven to be throughout his career, his ability to stay healthy and available to play was something that haunted him throughout his time with the Hawks. Outside of the 2023-24 campaign, in which he appeared in 79 games, Bogdanovic did not play in more than 63 games in any other season he played in Atlanta. In fact, you have to go back six seasons to find a year where the shooting guard reached that mark of games played.

This certainly went into the decision to trade him when the Hawks' front office did. With Bogdanovic having a maximum of $32.4 million on his contract over the next two seasons, spending that money elsewhere has looked like a smart decision by Atlanta's front office thus far.
