It doesn't come as a surprise that Patrick Beverley is in the middle of the latest NBA beef despite being run out of the league. However, the Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young finding himself in the middle of it is not only a bit surprising but objectively hilarious. The beef started when Beverley opened and critiqued the effort of stars in the NBA All-Star game. Young pushed back, making it clear that it should be the All-Stars themselves commenting on it. This didn't sit well with Beverley, who made it personal on his podcast, calling out Trae's leadership and speaking on things that appeared to be complete conjecture.

While Young is in reality far above the words of a washed and overrated defender who talked his way into the league, it turns out Trae had time today. The 11-minute video is a scathing clapback that highlights all of Beverley's lowlights and the fact that he was always the role player who was being carried. Even at his absolute best, the former NBA point guard wasn't looked to as a leader or a tone setter.

Hawks X Account Gets in on the Beef Toasting Patrick Beverley After Scathing Trae Review

It seems that Young cooking Beverley with his words wasn't enough for Atlanta, as the Hawks released a montage of the point guard being absolutely cooked by the Hawks' star. At this point, it seems almost unfair for Beverley, who simply doesn't have a leg to stand on in attempting to defend himself. The fiery point guard was offended that Trae called him out and attempted to make it personal.

Instead, the Hawks and Young have highlighted the lows of the former player's career, including celebrating a play in a win by ripping off his jersey and standing up on the announcer's table as if he himself had just delivered a Game 7 win in the Finals. Add in all of the incredibly talented teammates he has been put with, and it is clear that Young and the Hawks are winning this beef.

Perhaps the most glaring point made was Young's stats in comparison to Beverley's. There simply isn't a viable comeback for Beverley, whose only path is to let this beef die and attempt to take the high road by not responding to the absolute beatdown the Hawks and Trae just handed the former player.

Something the former Laker should be used to with a long history of contributing to losing. Beverley capped this off by jettisoning himself out of the league by kicking a reporter out of a presser due to concerns over listening to his podcast. Leading to the latest setback courtesy of Young and the Hawks.
