The Atlanta Hawks completely changed the way the rest of the basketball world views their franchise on Monday night by being one of the biggest winners of the opening night of NBA free agency.

After swinging a trade for Kristaps Porzingis ahead of the draft, the Hawks kept things going on Monday night by acquiring Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Luke Kennard in moves that make it clear Atlanta intends to make a push to reach the top of the Eastern Conference.

With plenty of players still available on the open market, the Hawks have several options left to upgrade the talent level on the roster. There is one area that fits the bill more than others, however.

There aren't any glaring needs on the depth chart for the Hawks at this time. That doesn't mean that slight improvements can't still be made to ensure this roster is as deep as possible, so head coach Quin Snyder has all options on the table when deciding on his team's approach this season.

With Clint Capela leaving Atlanta to return to the Houston Rockets, finding another big body to play behind Porzingis and Onyeka Okongwu would solidify the position moving forward while also being beneficial to the growth of first-round pick Asa Newell.

Trae Young isn't a plus player on the defensive end. This shouldn't shock anyone who has followed Hawks basketball over the years. Surrounding him with long, athletic defenders who can switch if needed takes some of the pressure off Young's shoulders on that end of the floor, though, and that alone could be a major boost for Atlanta.

By adding another big man to the rotation, the Hawks are even stronger on the interior. This is the place that fans in Atlanta have been hoping to find themselves in for years. Now, it is on Young and his new teammates to go out and get the job done.
