The Atlanta Falcons offseason has been relatively quiet in terms of adding a ton of players in free agency.
They have made some low-cost additions that feature Divine Deablo, Leonard Floyd, and Morgan Fox. The Falcons have also seen the likes of Grady Jarrett and Drew Dalman join new homes.
While these moves have been made, the biggest talking point this offseason for Atlanta has been around Kirk Cousins. With a $10 million guarantee locked in for the 2025 season, fans assumed the Falcons wouldn't trade him.
Teams have expressed interest in trading for Cousins but nothing has moved on that front. Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer talked about Cousins and the Falcons in his latest column and revealed that the 36-year-old wants to wait until after the NFL Draft before accepting a trade.

Kirk Cousins Wants to Wait Until After NFL Draft for Any Potential Trade
Breer wrote, "Rather than taking anyone’s word for it, Cousins has already signaled to teams that he would likely want to wait to see what happens over draft weekend before accepting a trade. In a way, that should also work for the teams, allowing them to go through a full draft process—and make decisions on guys such as Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Ole Miss’s Jaxson Dart independent of Cousins’s destination."
Breer also added that Cousins wants to avoid a situation that he experienced last year with the Falcons when they took Michael Penix Jr. after he signed a monster deal in free agency.
While fans would love to get a resolution to this situation, they will have to wait as Cousins doesn't appear to be in a rush. He wants a chance to start in 2025 but multiple teams could find their answers in the NFL Draft.
He doesn't want to waive his no-trade clause for a team that drafts a young QB in April to be their starter.
His options around the league seem to be limited in the first place, as the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants could be his best landing spots. We'll have to see how things unfold, as both teams could find their franchise guy in April's draft.
If neither team decides to go down that route, they could look at Cousins as a logical option. But as of now, there will be movement on the trade front with Falcons and Cousins.
