The 2025 NFL draft was a successful three-day event for the Atlanta Falcons, who selected five prospects during their time in Green Bay, WI. General manager Terry Fontenot used to opportunity to address both sides of the ball drafting names like Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker, Tennessee EDGE James Pearce Jr., and Oklahoma defensive back Billy Bowman Jr.

Although the NFL draft wrapped up on Saturday, the Falcons still haven't taken their foot off the gas. Atlanta has already added a handful of undrafted free agents in the post-draft fallout, including Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant.

Falcons Rookie CB Cobee Bryant Vows Revenge After Going Undrafted

On Saturday night, NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported Bryant's signing with the Falcons. It only took the Jayhawks CB a few hours to log onto social media to comment on the news, making it clear that he'll have revenge on his mind when he moves to Atlanta.

"Crazy if you think 26 corners are better than me," Bryant wrote on his Instagram story with three broken-heart emojis, per Schultz. "Wild, bro, and I know I worked my ass off (100% emoji)."

Even if he wasn't the daft's top-rated CB prospect, Bryant going unselected over the weekend was surprising. After all, NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein listed the former Kansas disruptor as a projected sixth-round pick, even comparing him to former 2022 fourth-round pick and fellow CB Jack Jones.

Having said that, the other 31 NFL teams' loss seems to be the Falcons' gain.

Bryant found a way to make an impact with the Jayhawks despite not being the most athletic cornerback. The Evergreen, AL native racked up 13 interceptions (including a pair of Pick-6s), 22 broken-up passes, and three force fumbles across 47 games in a Kansas jersey, also tallying 107 solo tackles along the way — including 11 for lost yardage.

Bryant's well-rounded play style certainly shows up in his latest Pro Football Focus grades. He played to a respectable 76.9 PFF coverage grade during his senior year, including a mark of 77.1 in zone coverage, while also receiving a 91.3 for his run defense performance.

At the end of the day, that versatility should help Bryant compete for a 53-man roster spot this summer. The Falcons finished with the ninth-best coverage grade last season (78.9), however, there's always room for improvement, especially if the team wants to end its playoff drought, which just hit seven seasons.

The good news is it won't be long before the rookies will hit the gridiron. Just like the other 31 NFL franchises, the Falcons are planning to begin their 2025 rookie minicamp within the next two weeks, meaning the countdown is officially on for Bryant to get some revenge.
