Perfect Falcons WR Trade Target Has Already Emerged for Offseason

Teaming up with Drake London could be exactly what this wide receiver needs.

No matter how the rest of the 2025 season plays out, it is beyond clear that the Atlanta Falcons are badly in need of improved receiver depth. Veteran receiver Darnell Mooney has shown major regression this season, while Drake London has been recently sidelined with a knee injury. This leaves the underwhelming depth options of Casey Washington, KhaDarel Hodge, and David Sills. It is hard to imagine a less threatening group, only further indicating the need for offseason improvement.

One potential target could be current Buffalo Bills receiver Keon Coleman, who has quickly fallen out of favor with Josh Allen's Bills. This is highlighted by a report from Establish the Run's Adam Levitan, who noted all of the routes run in Thursday night's loss, pointing out that Coleman was inactive. This is as damaging as anything you could say about the receiver when you consider the options that Allen and the Buffalo offense are currently relying on.

It is a clear sign that Coleman appears to be on his way out in what could be a great opportunity for a reclamation project for the Falcons. The pass catcher is 6'3 and showed the ability to consistently win contested catches at the college level. Getting on the same page with Allen has proven to be more elusive thus far in Coleman's career, for one reason or another.

Falcons Could Steal Perfect Offseason Target in Struggling Buffalo Receiver Keon Coleman

Through Week 12 in Coleman's second season, the receiver has totaled 886 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. It isn't as if the production hasn't been there to some level; the issue has been that Coleman hasn't developed into the primary receiver the Bills believed they were adding. The absence of Stefon Diggs has only made this all the more clear over the last two seasons, opening the door up for a potential trade.

With two years of team control remaining, it seems likely that a third or fourth round pick would be the asking price. For Atlanta, it is potentially the perfect second target behind London for the 2026 season. Considering the Falcons are already missing their 2026 first-round pick and have pushed their chips to the center of the table on building a contending roster, such a deal cannot be overlooked as a possibility.

This is especially the case if the current GM and head coach pairing of Terry Fontenot and Raheem Morris remains in place. It is impossible to believe the duo won't be facing a great deal of urgency, and Coleman fits that description.

Bringing the receiver to Atlanta is the perfect offseason move and appears to be very much on the table if things don't change with his level of production between now and the end of the offseason. Coleman in Atlanta offers the Falcons the potentially perfect second target and the frustrated Bills a chance to turn the page on a player who hasn't lived up to expectations.
