As the Atlanta Braves await Ronald Acuña Jr.’s 2025 debut, the All-Star outfielder has landed a big endorsement deal before Opening Day.

Acuña Jr. has become the first MLB player to become the face of NIKE underwear. The electrifying outfielder posted pictures from the photo shoot on Instagram with the caption, “When you are comfortable, you are confident.”

This is a huge step for the 27-year-old Acuña as he unveiled his apparel line and signature logo with Nike last season. He’s one of the more exciting players in baseball, so it makes sense why Nike would make him the first MLB player to be the face of their underwear collection.

Throughout his stellar MLB career, Acuña has been named to the MLB All-Star Game four times, won NL Rookie of the Year (2018), won the Silver Slugger three times, and became NL MVP in 2023. And it's not too farfetched to think he won't add more awards to his illustrious resume.

During that season, Acuña did it at the plate and the basepads, hitting .337 (career-high) with 41 home runs and 106 RBI, and recorded 73 stolen bases (led the majors). The Braves would love for Acuña to return close to that form this season after having his 2024 campaign derailed by a torn ACL.

Before suffering his torn ACL, Acuña slashed .250/.351/.365 with eight doubles, a triple, four home runs, and 16 RBI. He also stole 16 bases and was only caught stealing three times.

The former NL MVP will start the 2025 season on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Mar. 24), hoping he’ll be ready to play during the first half of May. A healthy Acuña Jr. makes the Braves a dangerous team in the National League and a contender to make it to the World Series.
