The Atlanta Falcons will host the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football this week.  This is the first time the Atlanta Falcons will open the year on Monday Night since Matt Ryan became the starting quarterback in 2008.

The Philadelphia Eagles feature the up-tempo, no-huddle offense of HC Chip Kelly, striving to get a snap off every 11 seconds on offense.  New Atlanta Falcons HC Dan Quinn plans to play as fast and as physical in his first year as Head Coach.  All eyes will be on the revamped Falcons defense when they square off with Philly tomorrow night.

Atlanta is a 1-point underdog at home, but many feel that this game could go either way.  A Week 1 victory for either the Atlanta Falcons or the Philadelphia Eagles would be a nice win to start the year, as both clubs are trying to get back into the NFC Playoffs in 2015.

Can the Atlanta Falcons’ new-look pass rush effect a revamped Philadelphia offense?  Atlanta drafted OLB Vic Beasley in the first round out of Clemson and signed defensive players like DL Adrian Clayborn and OLB Justin Durant during free agency.  Philadelphia selected former USC wideout Nelson Agholor with their first round pick and brought two former Oklahoma Sooners to the organization in QB Sam Bradford and RB DeMarco Murray.

While neither Atlanta or Philadelphia look like NFC Championship caliber teams, both are certainly in the mix for Division Titles and Wild Card Berths in 2015.  In the home opener on Monday Night Football, let’s keep an eye on these five Atlanta Falcons to have a deep impact in the first game of the season.
