The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have lost two consecutive games on the road and currently stand at 2-2 and 0-1 in the ACC to start the season following a defeat at the hands of the Duke Blue Devils by a final score of 34-20.

The Jackets loss this past Saturday knocked them out of the the AP Top 25 going into Week 5. Before their contest against Duke, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were ranked at #20.

The Ramblin’ Wreck has a lot of work to do in order to get back into the Top 25, but fortunately at only 0-1 in the ACC, they are still in a position to repeat as ACC Coast Division Champions. Paul Johnson bemoaned his team’s performance against both Notre Dame and Duke, stating that they are their own worst enemies by digging themselves huge holes early in games.

More from Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets can take a step in the right direction on Saturday as they face another Coastal Division matchup with the North Carolina Tar Heels. Hopefully they can rectify their issues now that they are back on the Flats this week.

Duke showed the Jackets last week that they will be a force in the Coastal Division race. Their defense played exceptionally well, with safety Jeremy Cash especially looking good and preventing the Georgia Tech offense from gaining any traction last Saturday. Here are our ACC Coastal Power Rankings going into Week 5.
