Bovada lowers national championship odds for Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs are getting some serious buzz as the 2014 college football season rapidly approaches. From countless members of the roster being placed on watch lists to Mark Richt himself proclaiming his belief that UGA will win the SEC East, there has been plenty to discuss in the last couple of weeks, and as a result, the “experts” have begun to notice.

Bovada has released its latest list of National Championship odds for the upcoming campaign, and the Bulldogs have moved into the top 10 after being given 18-to-1 odds to claim the title. In the previous edition, Richt’s club was listed at 25-to-1 to win it all, but like fellow SEC powers Alabama (who went from 6.5-to-1 to 5.5-to-1) and Auburn (14-to-1 to 10-to-1), the momentum has shifted in a positive direction for the Dawgs.

Does this mean anything? Probably not, but goodwill for the program prior to the opening kick-off is never a bad thing, and things will be cracked up in full force in the coming days.
