Atlanta Hawks at Washington Wizards preview: Hello John Wall
After a big win against the Detroit Pistons snapped a two-game losing streak for the Atlanta Hawks last Friday, the team will head up to D.C. to take on John Wall and the Washington Wizards.
The Wizards (9-3) are coming off of a big win of their own–a 111-100 victory on the road against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Paul Pierce looked like a much younger version of himself in that game, leading Washington with 25 points on an 8-for-16 showing from the field, which included making four of his five 3-point attempts. Wall played as solid as he ever does, scoring 19 points, dishing out nine assists and picking up five steals and four rebounds.
The Wizards are certainly one of the better teams in the Easter Conference this year, and also one of the better passing teams in the league at this point (3rd in the NBA with 24.7 assists per game).
Of course, Atlanta is right there with them at No. 4 in the league (24.4 assists per game), but the Wizards also bring the No. 8 defense to the table while Atlanta comes in at No. 24 in that category.
