Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls preview: Tough Match-up At Home

facebooktwitterreddit

After the Atlanta Hawks snapped their nine-game winning streak Saturday in a 100-99 loss to the Orlando Magic, the team heads back to Philips Arena to  host the Chicago Bulls.

The matchup with the Bulls begins a streak of extremely competitive games for the Hawks, where they will take on Cleveland, Houston, Dallas and the Los Angeles Clippers before Christmas.

The Bulls are coming off of a 93-75 win against the Miami Heat, where the team shot 50 percent from behind the 3-point line. The Bulls have won their past three games and are 15-8 on the season, with top-10 league rankings in points per game, rebounds per game and assists per game. The Bulls also have the best road record of any team in the Eastern Conference.

If the Hawks are going to take down Derrick Rose and the Bulls, the offense will need to be sharper. The past three games, the team has failed to score in the triple-digits and Mike Budenholzer is putting an emphasis on attacking the basket more and getting into the paint.

It should be interesting to see how the team rebounds from its Saturday loss, and also how they fare against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

There is some good news though for Atlanta fans, as Hawks center Joakim Noah is doubtful to play in the matchup:

Noah is averaging 8.9 points per game, 9.6 rebounds per game and 4.5 assists per game this season.
