Atlanta Hawks vs. Utah Jazz preview: First trip to Utah

facebooktwitterreddit

After another win against the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier in the week, the 23-8 Atlanta Hawks are traveling to Utah for the first time this season to try and grab their second win against the Jazz.

The two teams faced off in Philips Arena back in November, with the Hawks taking a slim 100-97 victory.

Utah hasn’t been too impressive this season, but is coming off of a 100-94 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. In that one, both Trey Burke and Gordon Hayward scored 26 points on a combined 19-for-37 from the field.

Even with the win though, Atlanta should be excited to see that the Jazz allowed the Wolves to shoot 47.1 percent from the 3-point line.

It’s gotten to the point in the season where I fully expect the Hawks to win every game they play. I definitely wouldn’t have said that at any point last season about the team, and it’s exciting to be able to do so now. With their 23-8 record, the Hawks only trail the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference (by half a game) and are sporting the fourth-best record in the NBA along with the Memphis Grizzlies.
