Atlanta Hawks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder preview: Striving for History
By FanSided
Friday night could be a historic event in the franchise history of the Atlanta Hawks. The team has won 14 consecutive games at this point, and with a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, Atlanta will break the franchise record for consecutive wins at 15.
This is the only trip to Atlanta for the Thunder this season, and as such, there is considerable hype around this game. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are two of the elite players in the NBA, and because of that, the home crowd will certainly be fired up for what is expected to be a jam-packed sell-out on a Friday night.
Oklahoma City is also playing well right now, as winners of four straight games, but no one in the NBA is playing better basketball than the Atlanta Hawks. It will be interesting to see how Jeff Teague, Al Horford and company handle yet another challenge from a member of the top tier in the Western Conference, but the Hawks have passed every exam to this point, and the city is on fire.
