Atlanta Hawks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves preview: Welcoming Andrew Wiggins
The Atlanta Hawks host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday evening, and the home team will be looking to extend their franchise-record winning streak to 16 games. This time, the opponent is a bit more forgiving than in the recent past, as Minnesota enters with the league’s worst record.
To put things in perspective, the Hawks are as much as 18.5-point favorites (!!!) in this game, depending on where you look, and Atlanta is expected to run away and hide from the undermanned Wolves. Andrew Wiggins should be worth the price of admission, as Minnesota’s prize rookie has lived up to the status as the number one pick, but the list of positives beyond his recent play is very short.
It appears that nothing can stop the Atlanta Hawks right now, but every game is a challenge in the NBA and Sunday night’s game is certainly a spot where the team could be bitten.
