Georgia Tech vs. Louisville preview: ESPN crashes Atlanta

Some had high hopes for Georgia Tech as they faced off with North Carolina in Chapel Hill over the weekend, but after falling flat on their faces once again, the Jackets return home for a primetime contest on Monday evening. This time, ESPN is in town for a “Big Monday” telecast, and the Ramblin’ Wreck are once again an underdog as they host Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals.

Louisville is also in the midst of some turmoil, as starting point guard Chris Jones was dismissed from the team over the weekend. Still, the Cardinals have an All-American in Montrezl Harrell, and they enter with a 21-6 record and a 9-5 mark in ACC play.

More from Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Our pals at KenPom have installed Georgia Tech as a 3-point underdog in their home building, and that actually is a decent level of respect for the Jackets. Louisville is the better team across the board, but Tech fans will take a swap of Chris Bolden (who remains suspended) for Chris Jones, and that levels the playing field a bit to go along with the advantage of playing in McCamish Pavilion.
