Atlanta Hawks: 5 Intriguing Western Home Games in 2015-16
By John Buhler
The most disliked team in the NBA just got a lot more infuriating for the Atlanta Hawks. That’s right the Los Angeles Clippers brought in Paul Pierce, Josh Smith, and Lance Stephenson this offseason to counterbalance arguably the weakest bench of any contending team in the Association last year.
When the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Clippers both times last year, it was a grueling task due in large part to how physical Los Angeles plays for their HC, former Atlanta Hawk great Doc Rivers. Whether it’s Chris Paul’s perpetual nagging about calls not going his way, DeAndre Jordan‘s knack for committing technical fouls or the Austin Rivers reclamation project, there are plenty of reasons to not like this Los Angeles Clippers team.

If you are able to look past the aggravating players on the Clippers’ roster, perhaps you can enjoy the athleticism of Blake Griffin or the strong perimeter game of JJ Redick. But in reality, I’m looking forward to the two former Wake Forest Demon Deacons battling at the Highlight Factory on January 27th.
Both Jeff Teague and Chris Paul are two of the best point guards in the NBA. Paul might have the more polished and well-rounded game, but Jeff Teague nearly always plays his best when matched up against Chris Paul. I expect this game to go down to the wire as both the Atlanta Hawks and the Los Angeles Clippers are two highly competitive teams, eyeing a shot at an NBA Title in 2016.
