The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets enter Week 2 of the season coming off the demolition of the Alcorn State Braves last Thursday night, winning by a final score of 69-6.

The Jackets absolutely dominated the 2014 SWAC Champions, while having their new starters record breakout games. Though the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets weren’t the only team in the Coastal Division to win this past week, the ACC had its ups and downs during the first week of the season.

Though a power struggle for the division is not yet evident, injuries to key players on some teams and Week 1 losses have set the stage for new trajectories from some programs, while others continue to fulfill their preseason expectations. Only 4 ACC teams played against Power 5 opponents: Virginia Tech, Virginia, North Carolina and Louisville. All four of those schools fell this week.

What did we learn after Week 1 in the ACC? The Conference still has some work to do in order to be considered one of top conferences in the nation, as all four of the schools who were opposed by Power 5 opponents lost. We also learned that key injuries can change the complexion of the divisional race, and can consequences that reach far into the future.

Teams like the Miami Hurricanes and the Duke Blue Devils took a leap forward in an attempt to unseat the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, while the race for ACC Player of the Year expanded but also got smaller. Here are the ACC Coastal Week 2 Power Rankings:
