The Georgia Bulldogs enter Week 4 ranked #7 in the nation. The Dawgs will host FCS Southern Jaguars Between the Hedges for a noon kickoff in the Classic City.

While the Dawgs are gearing up for their big game against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Athens for Week 5, there is still another football game on the tilt for UGA. Though Southern is an FCS team, Mark Richt said that the Jaguars have a strong, well-rounded offense that the Georgia Bulldogs must account for.

With UGA primed to face a strong offense in Alabama, I see this game against Southern as a great opportunity for the Dawgs’ defense to prepare one of the best offenses in the SEC in two weeks. Though the defense has looked great through the first three games, I wouldn’t say that ULM, Vanderbilt, or South Carolina have it all together on offense.
I see Saturday’s game as a great opportunity for the Georgia Bulldogs to grow another week in Jeremy Pruitt’s defense before he has to go against his former HC in Nick Saban in two weeks. Pruitt was the secondary coach for two of Alabama’s National Championships during the Nick Saban Era in Tuscaloosa.
Look for Georgia to have several players shine in all three phases on Saturday. Without further ado, here are the five defenders I have my eye on in the Georgia Bulldogs’ Week 4 matchup with the Southern Jaguars.
