The Georgia Bulldogs are Ready for the Alabama Crimson Tide
This will sound bold, but UGA is as ready as they have ever been to face a Nick Saban Alabama Crimson Tide team. It isn’t that the Georgia Bulldogs are 4-0 or that Bama already lost at home to Ole Miss. This 2015 Georgia Bulldogs team is a more complete one than the 2008 or the 2012 groups that lost to the Tide.
2008 was an absolute embarrassment at home versus the Tide, where UGA entered halftime down 31-0 in their house. Even though the Dawgs rallied in the second half, nobody overcomes a 31-point deficit in 30 minutes of football, except maybe the early 90’s Buffalo Bills.

The 2012 SEC Championship Game is without question the most painful moment in my entire life as a sports fan. While the offense was more electric than Tesla that season, the defense was poorly coached and got by on raw talent for as long as it could.
However this year is different. Jeremy Pruitt’s defense is getting better by the snap, as UGA can attack from all 11 spots on the gridiron. The pass defense game is one of the best in the NCAA and if the run stopping game can get there, we will have a championship caliber defense before season’s end.
The biggest question we had about UGA this offseason was who was going to become the next starting quarterback. Entering Week 5, there are no doubters. It is Greyson Lambert because he can thread a needle in a haystack. That is what it will take to knock off Alabama in this one.
Not since the 2008 game against U of A will Sanford Stadium be as rocking as it will be on Saturday. I think the 3:30 kickoff serve the Dawgs, as a night game for this contest would mess the players psyche, in my opinion. The winner of this game between the Dawgs and the Tide could become a major player in the 2015 CFP race early on. This time, the Georgia Bulldogs are as ready as they’ve ever been. Go Dawgs!
