Georgia Bulldogs Host Alabama Crimson Tide
By John Buhler
The #8 Georgia Bulldogs will host the #13 Alabama Crimson Tide in Sanford Stadium for a marquee SEC Matchup at 3:30 PM ET this afternoon Between the Hedges.
Today is the day, the day many of us in Dawg Nation have had circled on the calendar for months. The Georgia Bulldogs have their opportunity to prove to the college football world that they are a Playoff caliber team. Their first test of 2015 comes in Week 5 versus the juggernaut Alabama Crimson Tide.

Though Alabama has already lost an SEC game this year, a rare home loss to what is looking a strong Ole Miss Rebels team, the Georgia Bulldogs need to hunker down and play some inspired football. The elements are looking like they will factor in the game, as rain seems an intermittent part of today’s weather forecast for the northern part of our great state.

Should the weather prevent either team from feeling comfortable in airing it out in the passing game on Saturday, we could have ourselves an old-fashioned, ground and pound running-based game in the mud. Fortunately for the Georgia Bulldogs, they have a bevy of backs they can boast should the game revolve around sweeps, dives, and cutbacks.
Nick Chubb has one opportunity to break his tie with Herschel Walker for most consecutive 100 yard rushing performances. I don’t think he squanders this opportunity to get to lucky number thirteen. Here’s to a 150 yard and 2 touchdown performance from our sensational sophomore and our heroic Heisman hopeful.

Dawn of the Dawg
For the Georgia Bulldogs, their Week 5 date with Alabama comes down to two things: 1. Can the UGA defense under second-year DC Jeremy Pruitt do enough to contain Alabama RB Derrick Henry on the ground? 2. Which starting quarterback, UGA’s Greyson Lambert or Alabama’s Jacob Coker, can throw the more accurate ball in the rain to lead his team to victory?
We know that UGA will run the football in this one. That’s given, even against the number four rushing defense in College Football. I also like Lambert’s ability to play with poise in the pocket and not force passes to well-defended receivers, opting to throw it away if nothing is available. Coker has thrown as many interceptions as games this season. I look for that trend to continue on Saturday.
Will this game go down to the wire? I think so. How is it decided? UGA will win this game with superior play from their starting quarterback, kicker Marshall Morgan outperforming Adam Griffith, and most importantly, Nick Chubb out rushing Derrick Henry, ultimately having his first of many Heisman moments in 2015. Go Dawgs!
Prediction: Georgia Bulldogs 27, Alabama 20
