The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets now have a record of 2-4 on the season, and are 0-3 in ACC play. Picked by many as the preseason favorite to repeat as ACC Coastal Division Champions, the Yellow Jackets have produced 4 straight duds, punctuated by Saturday’s defeat at Clemson.

More from Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

The Coastal Division is still wide open for some teams, who are now looking up at two schools known more for their basketball programs than for football — North Carolina and Duke.  It is still possible for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to overcome their current 0-3 deficit in the ACC Coastal to make a run at the division; but can only do so by turning things around, and having a little luck on their side.

As Georgia Tech looks up in the standings, some of their division rivals that they have yet to play are in similar situations. Virginia Tech and Miami have been underwhelming this season, while Pittsburgh has overachieved. But until UNC or Duke lose a conference game, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets hope of reclaiming a division championship remains bleak.
