By John Buhler
The Atlanta Hawks stop their two-game losing skid by handling the Philadelphia 76ers, 126-98 at the Wells Fargo Center Thursday night.
The Atlanta Hawks move to 22-15 on the year after they beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 126-98 on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center to end their two-game losing streak. Atlanta shot the basketball terrifically on Thursday, shooting 53.3% from the field, 41.9% from beyond the arc, and 78.9% from the charity stripe.
Atlanta look poised to not lose their third straight game to an Atlantic Division opponent Thursday night, let alone to the lowly Philadelphia 76ers who now move to 4-34 on the year, still having yet to defeat one of the other 14 teams in the Eastern Conference this season.
The Atlanta Hawks had five players in double figures scoring, the starting front court and two guys coming off the Atlanta bench. Kent Bazemore scored a game-high 22 points on 8-15 shooting, 3-8 from three, and a perfect 3-3 at the free throw line.

His improvement both from distance and at the charity stripe have turned Bazemore into a complete and balanced starting wing in the National Basketball Association. He also had six rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block Thursday night.
Al Horford nearly had a double-double with 18 points on 7-12 shooting to go along with his nine rebounds. Horford also had three assists, three steals, and three blocked shots with an insane +35 plus/minus against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Paul Millsap brings it every night for the Atlanta Hawks. Millsap had 18 points on 7-11 shooting, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals. When he, Horford, and Bazemore play in unison in the starting frontcourt for the Atlanta Hawks, they stand as one of the toughest trios to go against in the Eastern Conference three through five.
Dennis Schroder had an unbelievable +35 plus/minus off the Atlanta bench. He had 14 points on 5-8 shooting, six assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Mike Scott had 11 points on 5-11 shooting, but only 1-5 from beyond the arc. He played the fourth most minutes tonight for the Atlanta Hawks at 23 minutes and six seconds behind only the starting Atlanta frontcourt.
