Atlanta Braves Top Ten Position Players of the Last Decade

8. Jason Heyward A Great Outfielder With a Cannon attached to His Body
I still remember when Jason Heyward debuted for the Braves as if it were yesterday. Watching him walk to the box with a nervous confidence. Stepping in and eyeing the aging pitcher and settling in to take one of the most memorable swings in Braves’ history.
Heyward hit a home run that to this day was one of the most electrifying shots a Braves’ hitter has launched. Unfortunately for Heyward, the ball wasn’t the only thing he launched that day. Braves fans had high expectations for Heyward that he never quite met.
In his first five seasons, Heyward was an Atlanta Brave hitting inconsistently but he was always clutch. He often came through for his team and helped a Braves lineup that wasn’t very good for much of his time in Atlanta.
Heyward roamed right field with authority I haven’t seen since he left Atlanta but he is still a great outfielder. While he was in Atlanta he was not only great but the best. His glove and ability to save runs helped the Braves out of many jams.
Heyward is missed in Atlanta, forever a fan favorite who played hard and gave everything he had to the Atlanta Braves.
