The Atlanta Falcons were beaten like a drum by the Houston Texans, falling 53-32 on the road. The team has the talent to turn things around, but nothing on or off the field indicates that it is possible.

The Atlanta Falcons are a team in complete disarray after sustaining their third consecutive loss and fourth loss in five games this season. The turn of events has truly been stunning. A season that was once thought to be extremely promising now appears to be gone like a vapor.

It was believed that with the Atlanta Falcons returning several injured starters on defense such as Deion Jones, Keanu Neal, and Ricardo Allen, the defense would have the potential to return to its top ten standing of 2017.

Dirk Koetter was supposed to provide an immediate upgrade over Steve Sarkisian. Devonta Freeman being healthy was supposed to provide a boost to the running game.

Additionally, a revamped offensive line was supposed to pave a path for Freeman and build a wall around Matt Ryan. Calvin Ridley taking the next step was projected to make the offense even more explosive. Julio Jones had visions of eclipsing the 2000 yard mark. Things certainly have not worked out as planned, for the 2019 Atlanta Falcons.
