As Atlanta Falcons fans are mentallydealing with the frustration of being forced to watch Cooper Rush start this past Sunday there can't help but be a level of attention being paid to the top quarterback prospects. Among them is Texas Longhorns signal caller Arch Manning, who appeared to be throwing another dud on Saturday night, hosting Ohio State and getting run over, losing 23-3 heading into the final quarter.
Manning got off the mat and fueled a 21-point comeback that unquestionably showed a clutch gene and his NFL potential. There is no getting around the missed throws in the game or the clear fact that the quarterback appeared shaken. Offsetting all of this, if the ability to live up to expectations in that environment down three touchdowns and finding a way to get it done.
Falcons fans could easily argue that even this version of Arch is better than what they rolled out on the field this past Sunday. Regardless of the reality, the Falcons are clearly in the market, and Manning's performance, with all eyes watching and the pressure at its absolute highest, is going to have the attention of Atlanta and teams around the league who are already starting to look at next year's quarterback class.
For Manning, it would be fitting to step into Atlanta and instantly have the talent of Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts. The latter two were taken out of the game this past week due to having a quarterback only capable of delivering screen passes.

Whether it is Manning, or a surprise option Falcons fans are simply desperate for a level of capability. This was on display from the prospect on Saturday on the biggest stage against as tough of a defensive unit as you'll face at the college level. Being able to put up 21-points and complete such an incredible comeback has the attention of Atlanta.
This is the type of performance Matt Ryan would so often shoulder in an attempt to carry lesser rosters further than they deserved. Now, the Falcons have a solid collection of talent, but zero hope at the most important position.
If this season continues to go awry, it is very plausible that Manning could be in the conversation as the future of the franchise. It will be interesting to watch how the Falcons manage the position the rest of the way, with Sunday's performance leaving nowhere to go but up.
