The Atlanta Falcons had a good NFL draft by most fans' standards, as they spent most of their capital on the defensive side of the ball. The Falcons carried that momentum into the undrafted free agent period, signing guys like former Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant and former San Jose State wide receiver Nick Nash.
Bryant and Nash, in particular, have a good chance of making the Falcons’ 53-man roster, given the talent/depth at those two spots. Falcons standout running back Bijan Robinson is excited to have Bryant joining the team, having played against him in the Big 12.
The former first-round pick posted a picture of Bryant’s signing with the Falcons with the caption, “Glad he on this team.”

It was shocking to see Bryant not get selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, given how he played at Kansas and cemented himself as one of the best cornerbacks in the country.
Over his four-year collegiate career with the Jayhawks, Bryant posted 128 combined tackles, 22 pass deflections, 13 interceptions (2 defensive TDs), 11 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles (one returned for a TD), and 1.5 sacks. During his last three years at Kansas, he was named first-team All-Big 12.
Last season at Kansas, the dynamic standout cornerback had 37 combined tackles, seven pass deflections, four tackles for loss, four interceptions (tied for career-high), a forced fumble, and a half sack.
The former Jayhawk star has good man-to-man skills and always competes on the boundary, which is what you want to see. Those guys will likely be matched up against the top guys in the NFL.
The competition bug also helps Bryant as a tackler, who isn’t afraid to stick his facemask in there when making a play in the run. He’s a bit of a risk-taker on the outside, which could lead to a big play in the passing game.
However, Bryant is joining a Falcons team with stellar veteran talent in the secondary, led by A.J. Terrell, who is a good player to learn from.
