The 2025 NFL draft is officially in the rearview. The Atlanta Falcons didn't have the most draft picks compared to their peers while in Green Bay, WI, last week, however, that didn't stop general manager Terry Fontenot from drafting five promising rookies, headlined by pass rushers Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr.
As well as the Falcons did at the draft, that wasn't their only opportunity to inject new blood into the organization. A plethora of hungry rookies went undrafted over the weekend and are looking for jobs -- an opportunity the Falcons immediately capitalized on.
Falcons Sign 11 Undrafted Rookies Following 2025 NFL Draft
Looking to further stockpile for the future, the Falcons have announced that they're signing the following 11 undrafted rookies following the 2025 draft:
- Simeon Barrow Jr., DL (Miami)
- Cobee Bryant, CB (Kansas)
- Nathan Carter, RB (Michigan State)
- Joshua Gray, OL (Oregon State)
- Nick Kubitz, LB (North Dakota State)
- Dontae Manning, CB (Oregon)
- Nick Nash, WR (San Jose State)
- Joshua Simon, TE (South Carolina)
- Quincy Skinner Jr., WR (Vanderbilt)
- Malik Verdon, LB (Iowa State)
- Jordan Williams, OT (Georgia Tech)
The Falcons' UDFA signings present a solid mix of offensive and defensive rookies.
San Jose State wideout Nick Nash is coming off an All-American performance that saw him lead the MWC in receptions (104) and receiving yards (1,382) while pacing the nation with 16 touchdown grabs. Tight end Joshua Simon could also make some noise after amassing 17 touchdowns on only 91 catches (18.7%) across the last four seasons split between Western Kentucky and South Carolina.
Vanderbilt wideout Quincy Skinner Jr. isn't the most elite pass-catcher, however, he did average 12.3 yards on 66 receptions with the Commodores.
That's without mentioning Spartans running back Nathan Carter, who has dual-threat upside after tallying 2,722 scrimmage yards and 14 touchdowns on 555 touches across four seasons with Michigan State and UConn.
The Falcons also attempted to bolster their offensive line depth by signing Joshua Gray and Jordan Williams after finishing 2024 as a top-ranked team in terms of pass (T-8th) and run (1st) blocking on Pro Football Focus.
Defensively, Miami's Simeon Barrow Jr. helps add some depth up front while North Dakota State's Nick Kubitz and Iowa State's Malik Verdon will help shore up the linebacker room.
Oregon cornerback Dontae Manning could be fun to watch after tallying 12 defended passes and two interceptions across the last two seasons. Fellow CB Cobee Bryant received a 77.1 PFF zone coverage for his work with the Kansas Jayhawks, leaving time to tell if he will have a similar impact in Atlanta.
None of these UDFA rookies are guaranteed roster spots, leaving time to tell who will work hard enough to make head coach Raheem Morris' lineup. The Falcons will be holding their rookie minicamp during the first two weeks of May, meaning it's only a matter of time before the incoming first-year crop hits the gridiron.
