The Atlanta Dream only have a few games remaining in the regular season, and though they have clinched a playoff spot, they're still fighting for positioning. The best thing for the Dream to do is win the rest of their games, and they could find themselves with home-court advantage in the first round. Lose a few games, and they may be wondering where they stand and who they'll face in the best-of-3 matchup.

Before their game against the Connecticut Sun, the Dream announced that Brionna Joneswould miss the rest of the seasondue to a left leg injury she suffered in August. Jones had just returned before the All-Star break, as she had missed most of the first half of the season recovering from an offseason injury.

Once Jones got back on the court, the Dream put her on a minutes restriction, but she was beginning to ramp up as the games went on. Unfortunately, she went down with another injury, and now the Dream will not have one of their key forwards for the remainder of the season heading into the playoffs. Some would be concerned about not having a piece like Jones, but the Dream are now set up perfectly to fill her void.

DeWanna Bonner and Angel Reese will be key for the Dream

Before the FIBA World Cup break, the Dream signed DeWanna Bonner, and it was evident that she'd probably take Jones' minutes for however long she was going to be out. Now with her officially out for the season,Bonner can fully immerse herself in the rolethe Dream need her in, whether that's on or off the court. She can shoot the ball well while also making plays for others. Her veteran leadership will be key during this time of the season as the Dream try to get over the playoff hump.

Outside of Bonner, the Dream still have Angel Reese playing at a high level, and she has taken another step in her game at the right time. Whether that's scoring in the paint, being relentless on the boards, or guarding every position on the floor, Reese has been there for the Dream whenever they needed her. With Jones out, she knows that the team might need a little more from her, and she's willing to give them her all in hopes of winning a championship.

Naz Hillmon will have a big impact

It's also hard to forget to mention Naz Hillmon, who has been steady for the Dream all season on both sides of the court. She's also been the vocal leader, and the team listens to her when she speaks. Madina Okot is another player the Dream will lean on in the frontcourt, and she's made strides throughout her rookie season.

Though losing Jones is big, the Dream have the bodies to make sure that her absence isn't felt as much.
