The Atlanta Falcons' biggest question marks this offseason have been around Kirk Cousins. The team decided to keep Cousins on the roster, as he was due a $10 million roster bonus on March 15.

Some fans were hoping that Cousins would be off the team by now, but that hasn't been the case. Cousins reportedly said he wants to wait until after the NFL Draft for any kind of deal to go down. He didn't want to land with a team and they drafted someone who would start over him.

The landing spots around the league dwindled, but the latest report from ESPN's Adam Schefter made the Cleveland Browns seem like the most logical spot. Schefter said the Browns are leaning towards drafting Abdul Carter with the second overall pick.

Browns Reportedly Leaning Towards Picking Abdul Carter

There are rumors flying around that the Browns could take Shedeur Sanders with the No. 2 pick but with the wind blowing in Carter's direction, Cleveland may be the landing spot for Cousins.

They still don't have a starting quarterback for the 2025 season. Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston both signed with the New York Giants. Aaron Rodgers appears to be signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers or heading towards retirement.

Deshaun Watson is rehabbing from two torn Achilles and if they pass on Sanders, the ability to take a potential franchise quarterback will take a massive hit.

That makes the Browns the best option for Cousins to be able to start games. The Browns will seek to find a veteran signal-caller to lead them, and Cousins would likely be willing to waive his no-trade clause to land there.

Cousins would be another league removed from his Achilles tear, and with all the noise around him saying that he's washed, the 36-year-old will head into next season motivated.

If the Browns do draft Carter with the second overall pick, it will only be a matter until Cousins is dealt to Cleveland.
