The NFL has a couple of weeks before training camp opens up around the league. Despite this being the dry portion of the offseason, teams are looking to make some final touches to their roster.
On Monday, the Miami Dolphins shipped TE Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The package also included CB Jalen Ramsey and a 2027 7th-round pick to Pittsburgh for S Minkah Fitzpatrick and a 2027 5th-round pick, according to Tom Pelissero.
Smith's name should instantly ring a bell to Atlanta Falcons fans.

Ex-Falcon Jonnu Smith Gets Traded for 2nd Time in Career
Smith has been in the NFL for the last eight years and spent the 2023 season with the Falcons. In that campaign, he had 50 catches for 582 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
He bolted to the Miami Dolphins last season and produced a Pro Bowl campaign. Over 17 games, Smith had career-highs in catches (88), targets (111), receiving yards (884), and touchdowns (8). The FIU product was looking for an extension but wasn't getting that with Miami.
That led to him wanting to head elsewhere, and it happened on Monday. Smith and Steelers agreed on a one-year, $12 million extension. The 29-year-old will now step into a pivotal role with Pittsburgh and form a solid tight end duo with Pat Freiermuth.
The Steelers signed Aaron Rodgers this offseason as well and appear to be going all in. Pittsburgh also has Arthur Smith as its offensive coordinator, and that'll be a reunion between Smith and him.
The NFL never seems to take a rest, and clubs are constantly looking at ways to get better. The connection between Pittsburgh and Smith has been floating around for weeks, so both sides are happy it finally crossed the finish line.
Over 124 career games (84 starts), Smith has 307 catches for 3,307 receiving yards and 28 touchdowns. His athleticism pops out, and Pittsburgh finally got their man.
