The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, as teams will use that as the final major outlet to improve the roster ahead of next season.
The Falcons didn't make any big moves in free agency but there are multiple high-ceiling difference-makers they can add. They hold the No. 15 overall pick in the first round but people around the league seem to think they know what direction they are leaning with that selection.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has been speaking to scouts and executives around the league about the top prospects in the league.
EDGE Mike Green out of Marshall is one of the most intriguing pass rushers and is someone connected to Atlanta.
Fowler wrote, "Multiple people we spoke to for this story have linked Atlanta as a potential landing spot for Green at No. 15."

Falcons Named Landing Spot for EDGE Mike Green
Atlanta badly needs to improve their pass rush. Last season, they were 31st in the league in team sacks (31). They didn't have a single player record more than six sacks and Green could be someone who elevates this group.
The Virginia native has an outstanding twitch off the line with the outstanding body control to bend the corner. This past college football season, he led the nation in sacks (17) with 84 total tackles, 23 TFLs, and three forced fumbles. He followed up this stout season with a great showing at the Senior Bowl.
Marshall edge Mike Green - who had the practice field buzzing after this rep earlier today in 1-on-1’s - has opted to withdraw from the rest of the Senior Bowl week and head home to continue with his draft prep.

While nothing is known knowledge to this point, the Falcons are likely doing a lot of research on this edge class.
The Panthers, Bears, 49ers, and Colts all have a need to improve their edge and pick before Atlanta. The Falcons may not even get the chance to select Green if they are interested in him but this rumor surfacing is a step in the right direction.
The Falcons need more playmakers along the defensive line and they are clearing looking at ways to improve it in the NFL Draft.
