Atlanta Braves Trade Deadline: Around The Perimeter, Eps. 3.
By John Buhler
Good Morning, Atlanta! This is the third episode of Around The Perimeter here at ATL All Day.
In the third episode of Around The Perimeter, Assistant Editor Jonathan Savitske takes some time to speak with me as he enjoys some of the Rocky Mountain air in beautiful Colorado. We discuss what the Atlanta Braves might do entering the MLB Trade Deadline on July 31st. We’re both amped about the new Dan Quinn Era of Atlanta Falcons as NFL Training Camp is a few days away in Flowery Branch.

Jon and I also expand on what all went down at the ACC Kickoff in Pinehurst, NC earlier in the week. We both think the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will have a strong team in 2015, but how does Paul Johnson, Justin Thomas and the rest of the Ramblin’ Wreck stack up against an improving Atlantic Coast Conference this fall? Being that the Atlanta Hawks are always on our minds, we look at who could end up getting that 15th and final spot on Coach Mike Budenholzer’s 2015-16 Atlanta Hawks roster. All that and much more.
In Part Two of Episode Three of Around The Perimeter, Editor-In-Chief of ReadOptional.com Josh Thompson and I discuss the UGA QB competition between Brice Ramsey, Faton Bauta, and Greyson Lambert. We salivate over Georgia’s LB corps but wonder what will happen on the inside for ILB Coach Mike Ekeler. Josh and I then look at the SEC landscape and see who plays in the 2015 SEC Championship.
Josh and I then take our talents and do the same for the rest of the Power 5 Conferences, picking a title game and a winner. In the Big 12’s case, just a winner because they don’t have the Conference Championship they desperately need. We then pick Heisman Finalists and our way too early Four Team College Football Playoff.

We then look at our favorite NFL teams’ upcoming season with our new head coaches. Josh likes the Buffalo Bills and I’m diehard for the Dirty Birds. And being fans of the game of baseball, we talk a bit about John Smoltz and his induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
