Atlanta Falcons: 5 Players to Watch Vs. Ravens
By John Buhler
After a camp marred by constant injuries and on the field struggles, Jalen Collins has looked better in his last two preseason games with the Atlanta Falcons. It seems that his ability to stay healthy when it counts has helped him considerably in becoming the important secondary piece the Atlanta Falcons drafted in the 2nd Round in May.
Collins comes from a great defensive school in LSU, playing for HC Les Miles and former DC John Chavis, now with Texas A&M. Dan Quinn drafted Jalen with the belief of cultivating his own version of Richard Sherman now that Coach Q is in Atlanta leading the Falcons.

Jalen seems to get better every time he steps on the field. The problem was that he didn’t get to spend very much time on it during Rookie Minicamp and OTAs because of injuries. Now that he’s stayed healthy in Training Camp, we’re finally starting to see the reason Quinn took a chance on a player with a troubled collegiate past like Jalen Collins.
With starting CB Desmond Trufant again likely out, or playing sparingly, expect Jalen Collins to get a ton of reps with the first and second team defense tomorrow night, so that he can accelerate his development to at least nickelback when the Philadelphia Eagles come to town on September 14th for Monday Night Football, Week 1.
