Atlanta Falcons: Around the Perimeter, Eps. 10
Good Morning, Atlanta! This is the 10th Episode of Around the Perimeter here at ATL All Day.
We’ve got a lot on our minds as it’s football season in Atlanta. The Atlanta Falcons take center-stage following their dramatic victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in front of a national audience in Head Coach Dan Quinn’s first game. Editor John Buhler, weekly contributor Nathan Carl Johnson and I also discuss the state of the NFL after Week 1, as well as previewing Week 3 in college football.
Guest Niall Lutes returns to the program to preview this Saturday’s game between the Georgia Bulldogs and the South Carolina Gamecocks at Samford Stadium, and discusses the impact of the injury to USC starting QB Connor Mitch and the effect it will have on Steve Spurrier’s gameplan. Niall and John also discuss the keys for victory for both Georgia and South Carolina, and what their predictions for the game.

The Atlanta Falcons began the Dan Quinn era with a victory on Monday night, and Carl, John and I outline our observations of the game: what went right, what went wrong, and who stood out. We then preview the full slate of next week’s games, giving our predictions and keys to our speculated outcomes. We also look at keys for the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday as they face off against the New York Football Giants at MetLife Stadium.
This weekend will be huge in the college football world — especially for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Ramblin’ Wreck has their first real test of the season in South Bend, Indiana against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday, as the Jackets seek to prove that their are a legitimate contender in the ACC and for a berth in the college football playoff.
John, Carl and I also examine the outcomes of last weeks games, and give our predictions for other contests this Saturday which include: Auburn vs. LSU, BYU vs. UCLA, Ole Miss vs. Alabama, and Georgia Tech vs. Notre Dame.

It wouldn’t be Around the Perimeter if we didn’t talk about our adopted team for the 2015 season: the Jacksonville Jaguars. Carl briefs us on a staggering “Jax Fact” of the week which caught both John and I completely off-guard.
Finally, we close the program with our weekly “Carl Tour” segment, in which NCJ outlines his burning topic of the week. In this week’s segment, Carl is sick of fans and pundits alike that are over-reacting over the NFL’s Week 1 outcomes. It’s only 1 week, why does this have any bearing on the rest of the season? There are still 16 more weeks!
