Atlanta Falcons: Around The Perimeter, Eps. 11

Good Morning, listeners. You are listening to Around The Perimeter here at ATL All Day. This is our 11th Episode.

In Part One of Around The Perimeter’s 11th Episode, Editor Jonathan Savitske and Nathan Carl Johnson and I take a look at how the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Wisconsin Badgers did in their Week 3 games. UGA and UW won their games, but GT lost a tough one in South Bend to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

We then make sense of the Atlanta Falcons and the Green Bay Packers’ fast starts to the 2015 NFL Season. Both Atlanta and Green Bay enter Week 3 at 2-0. The Atlanta Falcons have a tough Week 3 opponent in the Dallas Cowboys and the Packers host the Kansas Chiefs in Lambeau Field on Monday Night Football. We end our NFL segment with weekly slate of picks.

After a brief pause, the three of us discuss the Jacksonville Jaguars 23-20 victory over the Miami Dolphins at home in Week 2. Each us of came away impressed with a player on this Jags team. We then conclude this week’s segment with the Carl Tour, focusing on which division is the worst in the NFL entering Week 3 of the 2015 season.

In Part Two of this week’s episode, I welcome Jeremy Schmiedeberg to the program so that we can analyze the Atlanta Falcons’ opponent in Week 3 with the Dallas Cowboys. We like the improved defense of the Cowboys and wonder how the offense will tread water in Tony Romo and Dez Bryant’s absence.

Jeremy and I conclude the program talking some Georgia Bulldogs football. Are the Dawgs the team to beat in the SEC and what we want to see out of the team in Week 4 versus the Southern Jaguars? Alabama and a likely College GameDay experience seems likely in the Classic City in Week 5.
