Atlanta Falcons: 5 Players to Watch Vs. Dallas
By John Buhler
With rookie starting running back Tevin Coleman out for a few weeks with a fractured rib, it is now time for second-year running back Devonta Freeman to show the Atlanta Falcons all that he is capable of as the team’s featured back.
Freeman has shown that he is a valuable receiving option in the backfield for Kyle Shanahan in his offensive scheme. But is Devonta able to handle the physical beating often received by lead backs in the NFL?

Devonta missed a great deal of time in the preseason recovering from a hamstring injury. While he is fresh at the moment, will he be able to perform like Tevin Coleman did in Week 1 (20 carries for 80 yards)?
I think that Devonta Freeman realizes the size of this opportunity as a starter and has 125 all-purpose yards in this game, with a goal line touchdown scamper. He will be going against a strong front seven in Dallas, but Freeman should play well enough to move the chains for the Atlanta Falcons on the ground should they need to.
