A punter? Yes, a punter. When you have a punter that can boom kicks with tremendous hangtime and can put it where ever he wants, you have all the power in the world to control where your opponent starts their drives from.
Since Week 4 is at home in the Dome, look for P Matt Bosher to routinely give the Texans bad field position, either on kickoffs or the occasional punt. Bosher has played at an elite level this season.

I’m not sure if he’s a lock to make the Pro Bowl just yet, but he is so much fun to watch punt the ball this season. When do you ever say that you look forward to a punter entering the game?
You do when you know that the opponent will most likely than not start its possession inside of its own 20 yard line. The reason field position matters so much in this game is that it puts more pressure on a lackluster passing game of the Houston Texans.
Can we expect either Ryan Mallett or Brian Hoyer to religiously orchestrate 80+ yard drives to beat the Atlanta Falcons? If the Texans are in third and long situations, then probably not. Bosher is a valued asset for so many reasons, but dictating the opposition’s poor field position is certainly number one on that list.
