Boston College. Matt Ryan. 2. player. 44. . QB

Pro Football Focus rated QB Matt Ryan as the worst player on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5. They’re spot on because the Atlanta Falcons starting quarterback had three turnovers (two interceptions and one lost fumble).

However, Matt Ryan has tremendous familiarity with playing the New Orleans Saints. He’s had some of his best games as a passer coming against his team’s biggest adversary. After a lousy Week 5 performance, I think Matt Ryan puts it together and has a highly efficient game as a passer for the Atlanta Falcons.

More from Atlanta Falcons

Surely, Atlanta will want to run the football with RB Devonta Freeman, as the Falcons’ running game will likely get in the end zone at least twice on the ground. Then again, I could totally see Matt Ryan having 3 or 4 touchdown passes in this game.

Matt Ryan hasn’t had a earth-shattering performance as a passer this season, so perhaps it comes in Week 6, despite WRs Julio Jones and Leonard Hankerson not being at full strength. I’m projecting Matt Ryan to complete 20 of 25 passes for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns on Thursday Night. He will have complete command of the offense and the team can lean on him in this one.
