Atlanta Falcons: 5 Players to Watch vs. Colts
By John Buhler
One of the more interesting developments during the Atlanta Falcons’ bye week was the defensive staff’s decision to switch pass rushers Vic Beasley and O’Brien Schofield on which side of the field they line up on.

Beasley who had gone against left tackles will now go against the supposedly inferior right tackles. Schofield, who is well indoctrinated in HC Dan Quinn’s 4-3 defensive scheme from their time in Seattle, will switch from to the other side.
Could this minor alignment switch do wonders for the Atlanta Falcons’ pass rush? Not as much as we would hope for, but I do think that this aids Vic Beasley considerably for the rest of 2015. His quick first step should help him more against right tackles than left tackles, since LTs are generally the fastest member on their offensive line.
It won’t seem as frustrating for Beasley visually with him attacking the opposing quarterback head on. He’s going against a 40-year-old quarterback and Atlanta’s reputation for pass rush gives them nothing to lose on Sunday. I think Beasley has half a sack and a pass deflection in this game in his new role.
