Defensive End: Chuck Smith (1992-99)

Chuck Smith never made a Pro Bowl in his nine-year NFL career, eight with the Atlanta Falcons, but I think as a pass rusher, he was one of the best to wear the red and black of the Atlanta Falcons. Smith grew up in Athens and played collegiately at Tennessee before the Falcons selected him in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft.

More from Falcons All-Time Lists

Smith totaled 58.5 career sacks, all with the Atlanta Falcons in the 1990s. He three times had double-digit sacks for the Atlanta Falcons playing defensive end for the team.

Chuck Smith would play on the same side of the field as Keith Brooking, being able to work off one another in both pass rush and run stopping. Since Smith is now a high-profile pass rushing coach for NFL draft prospects, I think his student mentality would shine through on this All-Time defense.
