NFL Preseason: Around the Perimeter, Eps. 5

Good Morning, Atlanta!  You are listening to Around The Perimeter here at ATL All Day.  We have a ton of great content on our 5th episode.

In our fifth episode, Co-Editor John Buhler and I are joined by guest Nathan Carl Johnson as we discuss a plethora of topics in the sports world, focusing on the NFL preseason. Carl is a minority owner of the Green Bay Packers (they are publicly traded of course) as we talk about the Packers prospects in the NFC this year, as well as Falcons training camp and their chances of securing a playoff spot.

Continuing with the midwestern theme, John, Carl and I delve into the landscape of the Big-1o and talk about Wisconsin in the B10 West, as well as Ohio State and Michigan State’s playoff chances. John and I will update you on what is happening at UGA camp and what has Paul Johnson so angry down on the Flats after the Jackets’ first scrimmage this past Saturday.

In the program’s third segment, we discuss the ascendance of the Milwaukee Bucks back to relevance in the Eastern Conference, and talk about how the development of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker are keys to the Bucks chances to secure a top 4 seed in the Eastern Conference in 2015. We also talk about how the Atlanta Hawks figure to factor into the Eastern Conference race, and who has the better new uniforms — the Bucks or the Hawks?

Our final segment focuses on the Atlanta Braves and their recent acquisition of both Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn in exchange for Chris Johnson with the Cleveland Indians. John, Carl and I discuss what effect the addition of Swisher and Bourn will have on the club, and what the outlook of the Braves is going into the 2016 season.

Of course, it wouldn’t be “Around the Perimeter” if we didn’t talk a little bit about our adopted team this season here at ATL All Day, the Jacksonville Jaguars. We discuss what Shad Khan’s yacht looks like, the possibility for relocation to London or Los Angeles for the team, why two-toned helmets are awesome, and why you shouldn’t listen to Tony Khan and continue drink water with fluoride in it.
