The Atlanta Falcons organization top to bottom applauded how Julio Jones handled the ongoing contract negotiations like a professional. From Owner Arthur Blank to General Manager Thomas Dimitroff to Head Coach Dan Quinn, all are happy that Julio Jones will remain an Atlanta Falcon for the long-term.
When asked about keeping his composure during the process and electing to not hold out, Jones stated, “It wasn’t difficult at all for me. It’s just my makeup, the way I was raised I guess. My mom told me to show up to work every day and let God take care of it, so that’s what I did.”
Jones didn’t have any doubt in his mind that a deal would get done, as both Julio Jones and Arthur Blank wanted Jones to spend his entire career with the Atlanta Falcons. This new deal further emphasizes Julio Jones’ importance as a leader within the franchise going forward.
Julio Jones was humble about the new deal he has in place with the Atlanta Falcons. “I really appreciate the opportunity that the Atlanta Falcons have given me, just being here for the next five years. It’s not like I have to go buy a new car or anything. I still want to go play football and win games.”
