Good Morning, Atlanta! You are listening to the fifteenth episode of Around the Perimeter, our weekly podcast where we discuss anything and everything Atlanta sports. This week, we focus on the Atlanta Braves.

In Part 1 of this week’s episode of Around the Perimeter, ATL All Day’s own Matthew Schoettler joins the program for the first time to discuss the Atlanta Braves and their offseason outlook. Matthew and I examine every position in depth, looking at the current state of the lineup and potential internal and external options. Will Christian Bethancourt get another chance at catcher? Who will start in the outfield next season for the Atlanta Braves? How is the rotation shaping up? We attempt to answer of all of these important questions.

Though the 2015 season was disappointing for the Atlanta Braves, Matthew believes that the ball-club has plenty of options going into the free agency, liberated by the financial flexibility afforded to them by the myriad of trades over the past year. Matt and I examine potential free agency options such as Matt Wieters at catcher, and could the Atlanta Braves make a run at Yoenis Cespedes?

In Part 2 of this week’s Around the Perimeter Episode, Editor John Buhler and I preview the Atlanta Hawks as we enter the 2015-2016. The loss of DeMarre Carroll is difficult, but will the team suffer because of it? We also examine the Eastern Conference and give our preseason NBA Playoff predictions.

weekly contributor Nathan Carl Johnson and myself preview this week’s matchup for the Atlanta Falcons against the Tennessee Titans. With Marcus Mariotta unlikely to play, what do both are the keys for another Falcons’ victory? John and Carl believe that the Atlanta Falcons will roll this week and get back into the win column after a disappointing loss at New Orleans last Thursday.

John and Carl also give their Week 8 NFL picks, including arguably the best game of the week with the New York Jets traveling to Foxboro, MA to face the undefeated New England Patriots. Carl is on a hot streak with his picks the past few weeks, will it continue?

As we conclude this week’s episode of Around the Perimeter, we give our weekly “Jax Fact” about our adopted team this season, the Jacksonville Jaguars. In the final segment of the episode, NCJ discusses the hypocrisy of the NFL in regard to Pittsburgh Steeler Cameron Heyward‘s eye black to honor his late father who died of brain cancer, and how the shield is fining him amidst a month in which those who have succumbed to breast cancer and breast cancer survivors are honored.
